Message by Barbara Shafer:   “Why John 3:16?”

 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.   (John 3:16)

It’s the Gospel in 25 words or less (in Greek) and in it, we have 4 answers to the question “Why John 3:16?”   John 3:16 reveals:

1. God’s MOTIVATION regarding mankind.  “For God so loved the world…” 
2. God’s INITIATIVE on behalf of mankind.  “That He gave.” 
3. God’s PRESENCE with mankind, “His One and Only Son”
4. God’s SOLUTION for mankind, “that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”
